Shipwreck at Malta. I love reading the bible as a family. It’s super special to me to read it in places like this. Book of Acts Chapters 27 and 28, describes a situation for the Apostle Paul that was extremely difficult. Held prisoner on ship, heading towards Rome. Seeming delays, a storm, enemies on board wanting to take Paul’s life, yet God’s grace and mercy upon him and all. God protected big time! Shipwrecked to an island called Malta. Friendly islanders that cared for them and “showed them unusual kindness”, (that’s GOD working through anyone and anything to show His kindness and ability)and in return God showed His power and glory to these people. Circumstances that could leave a person thinking everything was out of control, but God was totally controlling the path. He had a marvelous plan.
To show his power and glory, to encourage and strengthen the Apostle, to send him onward to share the gospel. Miracles happened. Needs were met and supplies provided to carry on.
We visited here this morning. The winds began to pick up, smoke in the air. Wildfires are moving. The wind is moving. God is in control. He uses circumstances for His plans, to draw people near to Him – for Salvation of souls. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
