“You woke up today. God has given you breath, beating heart, life. Each morning, when you sit down to eat, if you haven’t yet spent time with Jesus, look at your very breakfast and take in this picture, for a permanent reminder, that “flashing” light, a symbol, to be instilled in you. Think of how you feel currently, your hunger, craving, desire to be filled with physical food-also the satisfaction-God’s provision. Thank Him. Then attach this immediately to:
“man CANNOT live on bread alone, but by every Word, that proceeds from the mouth of God”. Matthew 4:4
Think of God’s provision that saved your soul. Jesus Christ. Then go. Have your quiet time with the Lord. Feed on His Word, be filled. Receive your nourishment, provision from the Lord. Be satisfied in Him. Thank Him. Jesus, the Bread of Life. Be strengthened so strong to do God’s will, follow His way, “come what may”. So that you may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might to fight every battle, as you call upon the Lord and recall His Word all through the day-LIVE”.
These are words I shared with my sons when they were young.
I saw the signs when I began the journey of motherhood. The world dying, the battlefield increasing. Attack on family, parents, children. (I cannot explain it all here, but, even with my son Isaac born after stroke and life support, God raised to life, diagnosis of CP, etc). These attacks, just pushed my husband and I further into JESUS CHRIST our Savior. The beauty of GOD’s TRUTH and standing firm in it, is IMMENSELY BEAUTFUL!
This was nearly 20 years ago. Today, more than ever, everything is escalating rapidly, every single day. I am thankful for God’s Faithful leading. The signs He will give us, and we will SEE if WE ARE PAYING ATTENTION. Signs that will compel us as Believers to push harder into maturity and growth in Christ by faith and obedience to Him.
I marvel that God impressed upon me so deeply Matthew 6:33. Every single time, in my desperate need to keep teaching both our sons (home schooling/discipleship) “seek FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE ADDED UNTO YOU”. I would release the worry about everything else that was so huge, in responsibility and concern, and DO JUST THIS. Saturating them in Jesus, in relationship, His Word at every single turn, and BELIEVING HE WOULD ADD all things in all that pertains to each of their unique lives, for them to be who God wanted them to be. I knew God’s righteousness, a righteous life, is the greatest need, the greatest blessing. And God will ADD to our lives all we will ever need to live each and every day, wherever He calls them/us, every genuine Believer, all the way into EVERLASTING LIFE.
God has chosen us for “such a time as this”. Strengthening one another in the Faith. We can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO GIVES US STRENGTH (Phil. 4:13)
