Now what? I have been walking the walk. But which way do I go Lord, now? This doesn’t even make sense that there would be a roadblock here, right now.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and HE shall direct your path.” Prov. 3:5-6
Do I push pass the sign, when I know it is not the right way? Not God’s way?
No, that would be, sin, disobedience. Rebellion. Which separates me from a life pleasing to God.
“…be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
And the devil disguises himself as “light”.
“…for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” 2 Cor. 11:14
Oh my goodness, this world is full of opportunity to draw us the wrong way!! We are a people who want to go our own way. The flesh wants to disobey all the signs, the commands of God. We want to avoid OBEDIENCE. Only by the saving work of Christ in His faithfulness, does He draw us away, and into His way, to obey! This world is dying. We find life in obedience to Him.
And how God convicts me, graciously to show me, so much that seems right, that my eyes are opened to truth is SO VERY WRONG- a path that would deceivingly lead to a slippery slope of darkness, doom, and despair, for me and my family. Yet God is gracious to those who are truly HIS! He keeps on saving, removing all wrong, and directing our steps. This is my personal life with my Savior.
When eyes have been opened, I know what is right according to GOD alone, I must flee. Get rid of the “thing”. And pursue Him, and SEEK HIM DILIGENTLY by His Words and the leading of the Holy Spirit Who lives in me. More and more until the great and wonderful day I meet Him in my forever home, He is preparing for all those who call upon Him as Lord and Savior.
Do we really love the “light”? Or is it the devil in disguise? He is so clever! And we are so vulnerable! Without the Holy Spirit, in submission to Him, and actively pursuing Him, we would be overtaken.
The TRUE LIGHT is on the pages of every WORD OF GOD.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Ps. 119:105
Obey the Word of God. Repent and be saved.
There is a heaven and there is a hell. Obey the gospel call, and be saved. Obey the gospel call and work out Salvation with fear and trembling – of the Holy God, who is PURE, RIGHTEOUS, HOLY.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Phil. 2:11-13
Receive Salvation, and embrace a life in JESUS CHRIST.
Flee evil. Pursue righteousness.
Receive blessings – even life forevermore.
God will not be mocked.
” Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Gal. 6:6-8
Which way to go?
BE AWARE!
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Matt. 7:22-23
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Eph. 5:13-16
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” Jn. 14:6
How do I keep going against the flow of what so many in the world are doing? How do I get the strength to carry on?
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
BY EVERY WORD OF GOD. EVERY! EVERY! EVERY! EVERY! Word….of….GOD.
Those who have called upon the Lord Jesus as Savior out of a PURE heart – will be saved!
2 Tim. 2:22
