Celebrating Isaac’s Baptism

Oh Light of God. Beautiful YOU ARE! Today, our son Isaac, took a step of faith, in obedience to God. He was baptized.  What an honor for Joe to baptize our son publicly among many witnesses, as a testimony of the saving work of Christ Jesus the Lord in his life.

I praise JESUS for saving our son. The honor and privilege to be his mother is beyond description, words. You see our son was born lifeless, seizures, stroke, life support. Most organs shut down, and doctors warned us he very well may not live. We asked God to heal him, and save him. We knew his life was in God’s hands. We submitted him to the Father. Who loves him most, and knows best. Thy will be done. A miracle, breath and life given to his physical body! A Pediatric Stroke Survivor.

I yearned for him to be drawn to saving faith in Christ Jesus the Lord.  The Lord chose Isaac before the foundations of the world, and yet I had the honor to pray, as “the effective fervent prayers of the righteous avails much” and watch and see God move over Isaac’s life (as He also transformed mine in a radical way, through this journey) in a zillion ways, as he grew up.
Barriers broken, over and over, and the LIGHT of JESUS breaking forth again and again. I have to share these verses. I just have to. I know I say so much, but I pray you ENJOY and soak in these scriptures! They are my heart and life and testimony! The last verse really is just so awesome! Well they all are! I PRAISE JESUS!
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord”. 1 Sam. 1:27
“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children” Lam. 2:19
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Eph 2:8
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like His.” Romans 6:4-5
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. 1 Thess. 5:23
We are grateful to God for both our sons.  In two months each has taken this ever important step of faith and obedience to publically declare they have received Christ Jesus as Lord.
We have no greater joy than to hear our children are walking in the truth.
These pictures of father and son are precious.
Joe holding Isaac soon after God breathed physical life back into him, off the ventilator, still on feeding tube.  Joe holding Isaac, in baptizing him, in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Amen.
