God Will Not Abandon

Beautiful Savior. Abide in Him, apart from Him, I can do nothing. In Christ, I can do all things, by His strength, He calls me to. Restrain me Holy Spirit from all else, and let me abide in You Only. For the opportunity for distractions are many. I began to unravel scriptures and thoughts on paper this morning. Little did I know, God was preparing me for the EXACT Words, for someone else today. A very special someone. It has been these Words God has used to soothe my soul and strengthen me time and time again. As the heart began to pour emotions and words, I had already been prepared for exactly, SPOT ON! This has to be ALL GOD! ALL GOD! Glory to God.
It lifted a warrior’s weary head, and instilled peace, strength, and fight to persevere onward in TRUSTING GOD alone. Ever been abandoned by people? Pain. Ever fear it’s going to happen again? Ever fear the future and the potential pain involved? Take heart – to belong to the Lord, GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON His children. “He will never leave us or forsake us” Deut. 31:6 and “He works ALL THINGS together for His good to those who are called according to His purpose.” Rom. 8:28 In Genesis, Joseph was abandoned by those who we would “expect” would love him-his brothers. He was lowered so low. Into a pit. Yet God would never leave him or forsake him. God would use it all for a greater good. One blow. Another. Another. Over a long period of time, false accusations, and pain that must have been unbearable, he forgave and kept trusting and obeying God. God honored this faith and He will do the same for all His children.
“humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, He will lift you up in due time” 1 Peter 5:6

“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14
“do not worry about tomorrow” Matt 6:34
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God….” 2 Cor. 1:3-5
“walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Cor. 5:7

“You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus… Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer” 2 Tim. 2:1-4
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet he did not sin” Heb. 4:15
