God’s Glories in the Ordinary

Just an everyday ordinary moment, watching him work but God made me realize He was answering my early morning prayer. To see His glory in everyday ordinary living.

I want to take the moments when I feel dry and weary, and honestly a lot of mornings as I crawl out of bed it can feel that way. I know what a parched mess I am left to myself. I felt this way this morning, with many things burdening me, and I sought God in His sanctuary.

As David says”early I will seek You, in a dry and weary land” my soul thirsts and hungers for God. Psalms 63 David is seeking God in His sanctuary, desiring to see His glory and power. So do I. I want my days to be satisfied and filling. And I know God is the Only One Who can take this sinners life and through the beauty of Christ’s power, fill it to the brim and overflowing so that this once thirsty soul is quenched again . His mercy and Grace.

I was prompted to snag this moment as soon as his work was done to join him against the fence for a little one on one bible study about hard work. (Isaac showed up and found us here, and I asked him to take the picture) God, the Creator, has designed us to work, to care for and be good stewards of what He has given us. To care for the land, gifts, blessings, to care for one another. It is to the glory of God. The future glory through serving Christ the Lord forever and ever. We live in Jesus and what wonderful news no matter where we are or what we are doing, it matters to Him.

Just embracing everyday moments, trimming unruly grass blades, that matter big time to God, as we talk about our extraordinary Savior.

I marvel at the beauty of His sanctuary. The contrast of my desperate needy soul and the confessing of sin, cleansing, and experiencing His power and glory because of His lovingkindness and holiness is just so undeserved yet He is just this awesome!

I praise Him and boast in His great name. Thank You Jesus.

“There shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3).

I am convinced we can not over do it in opportunities to point our children to Christ.  They will hear a billion messages from the world.  I am convinced our children need to be smothered in the scriptures, and shown the gracious love and truth of Christ Jesus the Lord.
