He Calls The Stars By Name – He Calls You and I

“He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name…And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine”

(Ps. 147, Is. 43)

God Who created the stars, knows each one, calls each by name, created you and me. More precious are we than all other creation in all the earth. God knows and calls each of His children by name, by the blood bought purchase redemption for our sins, through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ, we are His forever.

I began this study, and snapped this picture, to instill in my sons the beautiful truths of the immense love and sacrifice that was poured out for them, that they may forever be encouraged through the fiery trials of life, and enabled by the knowledge of this great love to persevere as living sacrifices in obedience, faith, trust, hope in Him Who will never leave or forsake us.

The Father in heaven opened my eyes to the wonders that this is to be taken in more deeply personally that I may be enabled by His LOVE, to fulfill all my callings allotted to me, until I meet my Savior in eternity. Placing my name, my husband’s name, each family members name under the star, under the red heart marked Jesus My Savior. Thanks be to God for His amazing grace.

As women of God, as wives, mothers, pouring into our homes and lives of others. The Lord is pouring into us. We are His Children and knows all, sees all, and provides us the clothing of strength and dignity for our daily serving (see Proverbs 31) This is our very robe of righteousness, Christ Himself, which covers us. In our failings, and confessions, and flailing, Christ’s righteousness alone is an incredible power to cover and enable us to go forth in His love. It’s absolutely astounding to think on.

Jesus gave Himself up for His children, humbled Himself, taking on the form of a servant, obedient to death, making a way for us to have relationship now and forever with God.

Each of God’s Children is called to IMITATE Christ. Walk in love as living sacrifices to please God. Denying ourselves, picking up our cross and following Him. In so much we may not know, as we cling to the cross that redeemed us, we know God knows all, and we know His great act of love is our enabling power and victory.

-Man’s knowledge is soon ended; but God’s knowledge is a depth that can never be fathomed. And while he telleth the number of the stars, he condescends to hear the broken-hearted. While he feeds the young ravens, he will not leave his praying people destitute. Clouds look dull and melancholy, yet without them we could have no rain, therefore no fruit. Thus afflictions look black and unpleasant; but from clouds of affliction come showers that make the soul to yield the peaceable fruits of righteousness. The psalmist delights not in things wherein sinners trust and glory; but a serious and suitable regard to God is, in his sight, of very great price. We are not to be in doubt between hope and fear, but to act under the gracious influences of hope and fear united.

God’s favour and good-will to his people speak abundant comfort to all believers. The new creature, wherever it is, is of God’s forming. All who are redeemed with the blood of his Son, he has set apart for himself. Those that have God for them need not fear who or what can be against them. True believers are precious in God’s sight, his delight is in them, above any people. Though they went as through fire and water, yet, while they had God with them, they need fear no evil; they should be born up, and brought out. The faithful are encouraged.-
(B.C. Bible Commentary)

“He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.
The Lord lifts up the humble;
He casts the wicked down to the ground.

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
He gives to the beast its food,
And to the young ravens that cry” (Psalms 147:3-9)

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God” (Isaiah 43:2-6)
