Mother You Are Wonderfully Made

Mother. You are wonderfully made by God. You are created for special purpose, and the child you look at today, He also created for special purpose. To bring God Glory. (1 Cor. 10:31. Eccl. 12:13)
On this journey of motherhood I found myself being called to homeschool when our sons were just 2 and 4. (Now 16 and 18!) I had no IDEA where to begin, and without the LORD’s promises, wisdom, help, commands, I would have lost heart. I had so much to learn. Neat thing is, it was learning how to see “learning” in a whole new way, through the lens of God, for our two fearfully and wonderfully made sons, finding my faith grow in this process.
As God gave me two extreme opposite unique individual sons – so opposite, and so special and so valuable to God – to me. I had prayed to be a mom. Knowing only He was able to answer this prayer, create, and give life! He also showed me how valuable I am in being used by Him to point them to Jesus the Savior everyday, minute by minute day by day. My greatest heart’s desire, is their relationship with Jesus, and the character that would spring forth from this. We all need Jesus. I am aware of my deep need daily, and theirs as well. Without Him, I fall apart. With Him, all things are possible. He delights in teaching all of us. In my destitute, weakness, and utter dependence on Jesus my strength, it is so exciting to see and experience Him do what He does each day! God is faithful!
We have schooled through a variety of immense opposition, trials, life challenges.  Our firstborn had a stroke just before birth and has mild Cerebral Palsy has needed specific ways to teach him that has been a walk of utter dependency and faith in God.  God has provided all the wisdom, and help, in a variety of ways for me to glean and apply right here in the heart of my home with this precious son.  We have held the bible tightly by our side, in at home therapies the Lord just gave to me, and making the most important focus memorizing of scriptures and relationships with one another and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Three years ago, not only was I journeying on with home schooling, God was asking me to take on  care-giving my mother-in-law in our home.  This has been a desperate desire to love, and to learn how to, in a whole new way.  Looking to Christ, as my all in all. Two years ago, my husband was in an accident, paralyzed legs, and had to learn to walk again.
I had faith in knowing God is FOR US, eliminated the fear that this is impossible, surrendering to the Sovereign Lord as He teaches the GREATEST lessons of all, in being discipled as His own.
I am SOOO EXCIIIITED! Got my thinking cap on for high school at Schooling On the Rock. I literally ask God to direct me, pray on spot as I research ideas. Up late brainstorming goals for Fall 2020, including them in this process. Onward in God’s plan – “all the days ordained for me are written in Your book before one of them came to be”. In AWE of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
Shout out to all you mothers today. You are here because God chose you to be. Mothers are dedicated to such a special call. God is committed to us. (He reminds me of this often. I need reminders)
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;”
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.” Ps. 139
“Heavenly Father, thank you for lifting me up in my weakness. Thank You for giving me renewed strength, and focus. Thank You for overcoming the doubts. Thank YOU FOR THE BEST BOOK EVER – YOUR HOLY WORD . It’s been and will always be our favorite, and most powerful resource we are given access to learn and be transformed. Our greatest TEXTBOOK – our BIBLES. The commandments for us and promises are immense. Lord Your powerful Word spoke and life came into this world. You are gracious to give us Your Word to apply everyday to give us life to carry on until we see You. Thank You for the gift of Jesus and Salvation. Thank You that as mothers, wives, teachers, daughters of the King Most High, You invite us to come into Your throne room in heaven boldly to find grace and mercy to help in time of need. Thank You for the Holy Spirit Who teaches us. Thank You for the gift of prayer and relationship with You now and forever. As I thank You today for all these and more, I thank you for every mother out there, in these new and stranger times in the world, I pray You would bless her as she strives to equip her children for life. I pray she would know Your saving power in Jesus and find fresh strength day to day, minute by minute in You. Amen”
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deut. 6:5-9
~This gift of love, packed with goodness by God above. Wait to see what unfolds in the life of just one. This gift of life, nestled in my hands of love and life. Time goes by, so quickly. How they grow. It’s exciting to see God’s story unfold. God is good. He transforms. He creates families. He creates life. Treasure the gifts, equip them for life. Point them to Jesus, in all that we do, may the Lord bless His children, above and beyond for His glory and purposes, as we press on in God’s purpose and plans – His story ~ His glory. Amen – Our Max so tiny-not so tiny anymore.
