ONE LITTLE LIFE BOWING BEFORE THE LORD

“Oh come, let us worship and BOW down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” Psalms 95:6

God took my eyes and then heart to see this bowing flower. It was not in a particularly pretty surrounding. A stick with thorns nearly crossed over it. Surrounded by weeds, on the side of a slope, not easy to be seen by others passing by. I saw it plain as day. The glowing beauty captured me. Right there. Right in this humbling place, this one life is planted, thriving, and living with great beautiful purpose bringing God glory.

Bowing before the Lord…

Do we bow our hearts in our most destitute circumstances and believe we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works? God works through plain means, in meager circumstances. Whatever our lot in life we can believe God has planted us right here and growing beauty in the softened soil of our hearts, working far above and beyond what we can imagine, for His glory. We can pray,

“Use me Lord. I am just one life. Not in the most pleasant of places, conditions, circumstances. All I am is Yours. Anything good comes from Your grace and goodness alone. I am frail in and of myself, but Your strength, as Your creation, as Your very own through the power of Christ in me, Who rests on me. You alone have chosen me and decree all my days. Sustain me, use me, as I rest, trusting Your Sovereign purposes, delighting to JUST BE YOURS, that You may have Your way, accomplish Your purposes, that You may have all the glory”

This bowing flower, glory to God. I praise God for the way He accomplishes His purposes through harsh circumstances, in weakness, His power at work.

These scriptures bless my heart. God’s beautiful Words that crush the blows of doubt and mindset of this world – placing our faith in a wise God.

“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written,

“He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Cor. 27-30

One life. Bowed before the King. Depending on Christ alone. How will God use me? Bow before Him and see. Give Him glory!
