So You Want to Prosper

cross of christGod’s favor and blessings are already upon all genuine believers in Him! Nothing we have to pray ourselves into, it’s a done deal. When we laid down our life and received His gift of Salvation and freedom from sin and hell, we were stamped with His approval. Adopted into His family and promised His blessings that lead to eternity!

Many great men of faith who all labored for the Lord. In particular I will mention Apostle Paul. Considered blessed in all his circumstances. He was blessed with strength in His weakness, grace daily to win souls for God’s kingdom. Apostle Paul walked in assurance that He was favored by God and reaping the blessings in Christ Jesus alone-He cherished simply what Christ had done for him and wanted to share that message to as many he could! His labor was for eternal purposes. The labor of each man of faith in the bible that labored for the Lord, was in the purpose of prospering the church, prospering in things that mattered only for eternity.

So when we here God will prosper us. When we read the many scriptures on prospering, favor and blessings. We can remember that comes from the mind of Christ. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9” The earthly, fleshly standard of prosperity focuses on material and things seen. True biblical prosperity means prospering through tough, rugged, weakness, and through blessings that God bestows to each of His children. He may allow a hardship and it would be a blessing to make that man more spiritually stronger than ever before. It may be a new car, or a new boat, but seeing God move in the midst of it all and ALL being received and used for HIS ETERNAL PURPOSES. God chooses and wills for each of us how He will move in our lives.

But whatever we do- fight a disease, go through trials and tribulations, drive new car, get a new home, WHATEVER “but whatever we do, do it for the glory of God”. 1 Cor. 10:31. Use it as in honor to Him, for His purposes that are always meant for purposes beyond here and now but for eternity.

Like apostle Paul said – “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:  I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Phil. 4:11  He was content because His fixation was the things that will last for eternity. His dependence was on God and his trust in God. Paul knew God was ALWAYS FOR HIM in any circumstance, and that faith did not waiver.

Jesus laid it all, ALL, ALL, down – and simply said. “not my will but yours be done”. His labor was for an eternal purpose, and the GREATEST reward that came was for an eternal purpose. Those who receive His sacrifice that allows us to prosper forever, by the mind of Christ, is sealed at the moment of conversion.

I testify to this message of prosperity. This may go against the thinking of some who read this. I can testify that God has truly prospered me and my family through trials, difficulties, pain. He has given us more strength to continue this walk of faith and brought us so much closer to Him through the battles of blessings He has allowed for a greater good. I can see how it has increased our faith (prospering us), and making us ready as we move onward to the day we get to see His glorious shining face. When we get to stand before Him, without blemish or stain, declared righteous and fitting to enter into the Holy of Hollies. ~Amen!

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” Col. 3:1
