The Beautiful Red

As our son Maximus was cleaning up after painting a red door.  As he watched the bright red run out of the brush into this mingling with mud, he called me out to see and share what captured his attention, his heart. He thought about Jesus.
“Jesus blood poured from that cross, down into a flowing river. All to save us from our sins”.
WE ARE THANKFUL.
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Rev. 5
This pretty much makes my heart leap with joy ❤️
The Gospel is a gift, it keeps cleansing us, and we love to share it with everyone.
THE WONDROUS CROSS

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.

See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.
