The Knowledge And Wisdom of the Lord

“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; His going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us as the showers,  as the spring rains that water the earth.”

Hosea 6:3

A morning in my backyard.  Holding my bible.  Not just in hand, but in heart.  Reading the scriptures.  Soaking up this delightful morning sunshine.  Looking to my Savior.  My sweet hearted servant oldest son, just brought the coffee pot out to pour the last drops into my cup, along with my request for this Schooling on the Rock sticker I found in a pile of things in our garage the other day.

This scripture resonates so very deeply into my heart, mind, soul.  Each day, and each minute of each day, we are gifted with holding onto the Words of God, not just in hand, but in heart.

Above all learning, “knowing”, education, our greatest focus has been from the beginning on learning more, getting to know more, our Savior, Jesus Christ.  All pursuits are nothing, without the constant abiding work of Christ in our deepest parts of our beings.

Press on!  Press on! To KNOW the LORD!  He shines on a Believer through all times, He comes to shower us with His love and truth.  Like a rain, that comes again and again, he pours out on us, giving us fresh vigor.  Like the sun that warms us, the Son of God, warms us, through His every Word, with commandments, promises, truth, and more.  He provides all we need.  He loves His children.  He gives this good gift.

We are disciples of Christ.  That is our ultimate education, until we meet our Savior in glory.

The scriptures, relationship with Jesus, one another, exercising the scriptures to not just be “hearers” of the Word and deceiving ourselves, but “doers”.

I have been home schooling our sons since the beginning. They are now 16 and 18.  I knew nothing about this endeavor. Let’s add extra neurological challenges from stroke for our firstborn, and the voices of the the world, the enemy, others, in a zillion ways with opinion, that attempted to impart doubt, fear, inadequacy. But GOD!  His light shines, and overcomes all these obstacles.  His love is immense, His power beyond measure.  I acknowledged my weakness, and acknowledged my dependency on Christ alone.

In all my physical pain, weaknesses many a times.  In all life happenings and unexpected twists and turns.  God has called me to surrender again and again, to trust in HIM.  Not lean on my own understanding, but acknowledge HIM.  Never give up.  Never give up trusting His leading.  His love that is faithful and for us in calling us to His way.

There are so many incredibly rich Spiritual lessons through every single day of this life.  I find immense JOY in the hardest of days, because of the victory I can know is mine, through drawing to the Word, and planting it in my own heart, and the hearts, minds, souls, of my children.

We hold in our hand the Word of God.  We hold in our hearts, Jesus Christ.  We have been given much.  We are rich.

As my oldest transitions through a soon “graduation”, how do we proceed, he proceed in life?

We do not do things according to the world.  We do things according to God.  He created individuals.  And has warned not to be conformed to the patterns of this world.

Our timeline is based on Christ and His perfect plan.  I find such freedom and peace in this blessed way of God’s way, walking in faith, not by sight.  Not the ways of man made systems of this world.  No timelines, not we are “behind” or “ahead”,  but we are who God has designed us to be, we are in His hands, according to His plan.  His timeline.

As we soon graduate our son, for all the hard, hard, hard, work he has put in for 18 years, in academics, and overcoming so much, (thank YOU JESUS!) it’s an incredible story with many chapters I love to share with those who are looking for encouragement and to glean on their own journey.

My son, and our whole family, will continue always, to be Disciples of Christ.  Looking at our  oldest son, he will be discipled in the scriptures as core, working on life skills, serving his family, community, working on home repairs and projects, working on advancement in his joy of martial arts, and waiting, waiting, waiting, on the Lord for many things, that he is pursuing, to be fully equipped for life.  Our 16 year old son, will continue also, of course, in his God given design and passions, and ultimately this blessed call of being a student/disciple to Jesus Christ the Lord.

We all will simply and powerfully, be pressing on to KNOW CHRIST MORE, as certain as the dawning of each new day, our Savior is faithfully shining upon us, raining down provision, and growing us into His image, preparing us for the Kingdom we already belong to, and are living for, as we live as His own, pressing on in our pilgrimage on this earth, passing through.

The gospel continuing it’s much needed work in us, as we share it with one another, and with the world around us each day.

To God BE the glory.  What are you pressing on for?  What goals?  What hopes?  What challenges do you face?  There is a gift immeasurable to trust in GOD and BELIEVE in HIM.

Sinners saved by grace.  Looking to the face of Jesus, to…

“…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

2 Peter 3:18

“And He shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.” 2 Samuel 23:4

“The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand”

Psalms 121:5

“Heavenly Father,

Thank You for YOUR WAYS.  You are a loving Perfect Father.  Who we can trust.  Thank You for Jesus Christ, saving  sinners and faithfully leading Your children.  Thank You for the gift of being taught by You daily.   In Jesus name.  Amen”
