The Winter Robin

Walked the cool of a wintry morning
Thanking God for another day
A hand to hold of my beloved
Hearts to join together to pray

Approaching home little creatures to greet
This little Robin contently rests
In the barren winter tree

Her presence invites one to ponder
Oh how just one creature of God
Teaches so much if we are willing to see
That we should draw near and not wander
To rest in God’s provision
The outstretched arms of Jesus Christ
Far from a barren place
Resting here we find stability and peace
We have life

The winds may blow
The branches may bend
But God’s arms of love we can truly depend
A faithful love without end

Contented we are and in faith we believe
He cares for the birds of the air
We know, far beyond this
He cares faithfully for you and me

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
Matthew 6:26

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Is. 41:10
