When we tell our children about Jesus. When we read them the scriptures in a relationship with God and them. We may never know the true impact, this side of eternity. We may not know just how deep and wide God is truly working at any given moment as we pour into their lives.

But we can know as we are obedient, and labor again and again and again in love, God IS WORKING. -“My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you..” Gal. 4:19

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.” 1 Cor. 3:6-8

The POWER OF GOD’s WORD:
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Is. 55:9-11

There is no barrier too large to stop the Spiritual understanding-simple understanding. Simple faith as a child. Jesus Christ came to save, we are all sinners, Jesus is the Savior.

Open our bible. Open our hearts. Unfold the pages of God’s Holy Powerful Word:

“The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.” Ps. 119:130

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in My name welcomes Me.” Matthew 18:1-3

Belief in Christ is an inward work of the Holy Spirit. – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–”
Eph. 2:8

For some, as children grow up, the neurological challenges they have lived with their entire lives, may always be there on some level and way. This does not stop the work of God. For some, as their bodies grow and change, we may never see the true work of Christ in the inner places of the depths of their being. But we know, that God is at work, as they are exposed to the gospel message, through the scriptures, prayer, and by the hands and feet of Jesus care ministered daily to the extra challenges and needs by the Christian mothers.

Neurological barriers are very real and do add extra hardship, pain, as well as inexpressible love and joy beyond anything! Oh to see the beauty of the Lord upon this life.

“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands” Ps. 90:17

Differing abilities. For those who are able to thrive on structure, there are so many ways to present Jesus and the Word. Memorization is often attainable. For those who can express it outwardly out of their mouths, but I believe even those who are unable to express out of their mouths, are able to memorize those scriptures that have been repetitively fed to the child, and it is giving a nourishment only God can give.

“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Sam. 16:7

There are so many ways through the flow of life, to continue teaching older children how to connect with God in relationship to Him. We all are hungry souls and it is only Christ Who satisfies. There is a great need for the Christian mother to have wisdom to know how to uniquely and strategically continue feeding the longing soul of her child through all ages and stages, and God gives wisdom-It’s a promise to His own! The Lord will keep giving His creativity, His insight into the life of the child and what makes the connection, to apply the scriptures, and reach places, only through HIM attainable. Praise be to GOD! (James 1:5)

“For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” Ps. 107:9

God will give wisdom, power, and love, to this mother!

God will reach places inside this child’s soul, and bypass the neurological barriers, split the neurological sea wide open, and by the preaching and sharing of the scriptures and by the power of the Holy Spirit, will fill the heart, mind, soul with the Spiritual “knowing” spoken of in Psalms 139 (highly recommend you open the bible and read all of it, for you, and for your child)

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.”

Lead. Lead these children to the scriptures. Pray the scriptures with them. And believe in the PROMISES of God.

We can see those children who wrestle with those extra neurological challenges, and I love what I read from another source this morning because it’s not just what I already know, but nice to hear it from someone else out there. I am borrowing and adding my two cents as well:

“It may be that that fight against such strong neurological opposition, is a greater act of love toward God than the “typical” Christian would imagine. These who are choosing to believe God for His Words, and though the “gap” in the neurological glitchy brain is hard for one to figure out how to close up and meet God, yet the heart is submissive, tender, seeking, diligently, – Jesus has already filled that gap, through His work on the cross!
Jesus said:

“I am the way, the TRUTH, the LIFE, no one comes to the Father, except through Me” John 14:6
He makes the way! These “stuck places of the neurological condition”, and the tenderhearted soul, in order to learn to greater ability to love God, others, is a great example of “dying to self” and living for Christ” Gal. 5:24

“You shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” Deut. 6:5
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deut. 6:6-9

However far each of us, neurological challenges or typical, go in this life, for those who have genuinely received Christ as Lord, we will make it to heaven, and be free forever from every form of opposition. I know God created these unique children to display His power and glory.  For these may have harder lives, and some really hard, there is a beauty displayed through their lives, and the lives of those who serve and love them.

Until that great day we meet Jesus, we must allow our hearts to be tender and pliable to the work of Christ, fight against the opposition in our lives. Whether it be sin, sinful desires, selfishness, pride, physical or neurological challenges, hormones, we must fight the good fight.

We will run, we will dance, we will sing to the Lord, unhindered. Free from anything that would cause us to focus on self rather than Christ, for all eternity. Forever in the presence of Christ, and living daily with all the redeemed saints. Healed in every way. Praising God!

Why the rainbow brain?  It’s a beautiful creation of God.   And..

The rainbow is a direct creation of God, purposely designed to remind of a promise.

God has many promises.

May we hold tight to these promises.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO BARRIER too HIGH. Christ OVERCOMES.

” What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS! Thanks be to Jesus Christ. May we lead our children to Jesus. And believe in His power!

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom. 8:31-39

“teach the intellect.  Brain train.  By the Power of God’s Word.  Meet the need where they are at.  Depend on God to meet your needs, Christian mother.  And see and believe in the glory of God through the gift of this life.  Through the gift of life through Jesus the Son.” ~Mother to a Pediatric Stroke Survivor.  Mother to two Warriors in Jesus.  Fearfully and wonderfully made – we are.  Saved by grace.

Thank you for the beautiful, powerful blog. I feel so blessed to have started my day with this beautiful, meaningful message and scriptures. I pray for all the mothers in the world to teach their children about God. Also, teach them about how much Jesus loves them.
