The other day I read these verses and was so touched! From Old Testament – Jeremiah 32:40-41
“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.”
The everlasting covenant is Salvation, by grace, through faith, eternal life through receiving the gift of Jesus Christ the Lord. The fact God Almighty rejoices over His own, and literally plants us into the great land of His eternal Kingdom- and that He goes as far as to say, He does this with HIS WHOLE HEART AND SOUL! What incredible love! Doesn’t that just compel you to draw nearer to this loving Father and worship Him? I know it does me.
I was also compelled to do some planting of my own. Planting flowers to add beauty to this home, in honor of our Lord, Creator, Savior, Who is preparing a beautiful forever home for us for all eternity. My heart overflowed with love, joy, peace as I planted away, thinking about the Heavenly Father’s great love for His children. What a gift.
This photo is of a ZION PURPLE SUNFLOWER. I think it’s gorgeous. And I love that ZION in the bible refers to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem where Christ will one day reign.
Bloom where we are planted. The heavenly Kingdom of God where all the saints will live forever with Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and Lord and Lords! Hallelujah!
