Cooking Around the World – New Adventures

Been asking the Lord for direction for this school year for Isaac at age 18.  As well as directions for Max age 16.  I am so excited to grab each of their unique qualities, abilities, passions, as well as hone in more on their individual needs for growth, to continue to this wonderful journey.  Max will be working on his favorite hymn “Be Thou My Vision”, as well as hoping to begin learning a new language-Spanish.  He will continue his research and passion on exploring God’s creation of animals from every kind in every nation.  Each of our sons are working on small chapter books.  I am diving into ways to help Max self-publish his almost finished project on Truth Vs. Lies through a wonderful family entertaining story of a Pterosaur back in Civil War time period.  A story on perseverance, faith, never giving up.  A story of truth, and battles, and a family coming together for the love of God’s creation and most importantly the sake of the gospel.
For Isaac… One fun area the Lord directed me to:
Isaac is going to Cook Around the World.
Seeking God for areas to enhance, encourage creativity, support him in what he enjoys. To get to know better the wonderful world, God made, He has directed me to preparing a beginning of a curriculum (template) that will be more independent as he researches a vast array of info on many countries, and cooks a coinciding recipe from that culture.
Cool thing is, what knowledge he discovers, and scriptures he adds, will be his touches that will make a complete whole curriculum he could share with others on his website to come soon. Incorporating Martial Arts links with schooling and teaching what he has worked so hard and learned as well as cooking/recipes and more. www.throwingdownwithIsaac.com
Today was an absolute honor and blast. I went shopping for material. Of course my boy would choose PATRIOTIC! LAND OF FREE AND HOME OF BRAVE.
Made him an apron, and supplied him with his own set of tools.
I am sharing, because I care. I want to tell the world, that it may be encouragement and bring God glory.
This is complete boasting in God. In awe of His faithfulness to lead me on this home school mothering journey, with so much opposition that tried to weigh me down, and each day, I hoped in God alone. He makes unique families and supplies our specific need.
So we should lay aside weights that try to ensnare us and in obedience run with endurance, with eyes fixed on Jesus. Heb 12:1
