Disciple “ing” Sicknesses Life happens.

Third cold in three months for my youngest. What a privilege to be with these guys, and take all opportunities to point to Jesus. Laid my hands on him with fervent prayers, then hours later he is belting out in high pitch screeching “awesome” tones with me, “Your’e An Overcomer” in song, all while my oldest is working a rigorous physical workout in our living room. God is SO GOOD.
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.” Deut. 6:6-7

Oh to be all day about Jesus. The Word. Scriptures. Repenting. Turning back in short accounts. Examining our hearts. Minute by minute with the Savior. Jesus walked with his disciples. Teaching, training, rebuking, correcting, spurring on, calling out, living together as they were Shepherded under His authority and care, as He prepared them for the Kingdom work they would carry on when He would ascend to heaven. Making disciples. (Matthew 28) He returned to heaven calling the Disciples to go out into the world and make disciples.

The beautiful privilege we as parents have to be like Jesus and depend on Him to help us to “be imitators of Christ, and walk in love” in DISCIPLE “ING” our children as He did, living moment by moment with our minds and hearts wrapped up into the purposes of eternal investments and the KINGDOM TO COME.  Just feeling grateful for the gifts. God is faithful. He is such an encourager to my heart. Seeing His fingerprints all around in life, come what may, Immanuel God is with us.
