Our Major

Holding this little art project I created when our sons were little. I displayed it for years in our home to remind me, in our minutes, days, years, of home-schooling what really mattered most. The Scriptures our “Major”.
I admit, I was blessed with reminders of how weak I was, and through the significant challenges in a variety of circumstances, left me surrendering what “I thought mattered in school” to God drawing me back to our Major. Trusting Him above what I saw with the eyes of my own understanding, believing His love, power, to bring it all together for His glory and purposes. Walk by Faith Not By Sight. Because in the end.. nothing matters more than knowing our God, having an awe and honor for Him,and learning how to discern how to live each day, according to His will.
“Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.
“Everything is meaningless!”
The Conclusion of the Matter:
Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd. Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.
Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.”
From Eccl 12
Everyday, the joy resonated, even in ALL the hard days.  When Jesus is invited into our homes, and His Word is shared, in relationship with God, with one another – GLORY!
Great is Thy Faithfulness.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
