I have always been a simple girl. I often reflect back in history to simpler times as I live out each day “today”. Often reflecting on Jesus taking a few simple loaves of bread and few fish, and blessed, multiplied to do abundantly and beyond what anyone would have imagined.
I have held onto this in faith, in many ways throughout my days of thanking God to be in the heart of my home-trusting in Him, and not focused on what I do not have, but WHAT I DO have, EVEN MORE – WHO I HAVE!
Taking what God supplies in simple things, and trusting Him for blessing. Isaac took our very inexpensive artificial tree we have had for several years, that we discovered had dead lights, and he used his hyper focus detailed giftedness and removed every dead light for his mama! Amazing!!!!!…
To watch as he did not make one complaint thru a tedious process-but was flowing with peace, love, joy. I then added the new lights, and asked God to help me be as peaceful as my son, while doing a tedious assignment that usually is not my favorite thing to do. I reflected again on beauty of simplicity! And I was blessed too with peace.
Then, I was inspired, spruced up our tree topper, and made some snowballs with paint and snow I found in craft supplies. A huge thank you to both my sons for pulling out the decor and helping me decorate.
I love it! Thank You Jesus. Immanuel God is with us.
