Spiritual Food For Thought

SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT
For those of us in this New Year working on a habit of healthier diet choices, this thought: Jesus said: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work”- Jesus was performing the will of the Father. As a result, received greater sustenance and satisfaction than any mere physical food could offer. He went on to speak of the great need to focus on obedience in sowing into the lives around, with great eternal reward. A satisfying life for the Believer.

Great Spiritual food for thought for me! Pausing, changing what I gravitate to (sugar..so on) and replacing with satisfaction in pleasing the Lord in NEW and even creative ways to sow love, kindness, time, attention, the Word, and so forth to lives put in my sphere. Knowing this pleases the Father. Satisfying to my soul. He fills the hungry soul with good things.

And…welll..also, choose pineapple. Like this night. Choose a walk, hike, more water, Stevia, moderation… So on.

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. This is not easy, must keep feasting my mind on His every Word , Jesus bread of life. This is not about any outward appearance, this is about the internal sake of my health. He uses my health struggles as motivation not only to seek Him for physical well being, but WAY more important, to again shape my Spiritual life and produce eternal effects in myself and around. He loves and gives grace.

Always, my life and time is in His hands. My greatest desire is to share the joy of the Lord, and see others receive Salvation and joy-looking so eagerly to the Kingdom we will enjoy together. We will feast with our Lord, and one another. It will be perfectly delightful, sweeter than sweet. And always good!! Glory divine

Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.”

But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?”

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. 38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.” John 4:31-38
