Strong & Gentle – Mighty Perfect Love for a Daughter of the King

As I sat on my floor to pray the other day, it hit me, and I realized a habit I have done for nearly 20 years.  It’s something I have just done without a real thought of why I do it.  It apparently just seemed best and right for me.  I often, sit low, on the floor of my quiet place, room, garage, even in the backyard a time or two on the grass to meet with God.  Why do I sit low? I realize it is my way of recognizing I am low and needy, and while I am praying, I am looking up and thinking of the HIGHEST of HEIGHTS of the THRONE ROOM OF HEAVEN where the Lord Strong and Mighty abides.  He is the ONE Who meets me in my destitute place and by His Spirit given to me at conversion, gives me strength to rise and live in Him each day.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Heb. 4:16

No matter where we are, on a mountain top,  the valley,  grocery store, swimming pool, and on and on… it isn’t about  outward posture, but the inward posture of our heart attitude as we pray anytime, anywhere and commune with our Lord and Savior.  But I do think it is special that I am able to still sit on the floor and get up again without too many hitches and cramps, and physically “be” where my heart is, LOW in regard to who I am in the contrast of Who God is!

“But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God”

Ps. 40:17

I think about this magnificent God.  Humbly coming as a lowly servant to save sinners like me.  Strong and mighty He rose from the grave, and this King He is coming again!

“Say to Daughter Zion, “See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey,”

 Matt. 21:5

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.  His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…

Rev. 19:11-16

God is PERFECTION.  The perfect order of everything we will ever need in this life and the life to come.  He draws men’s hearts to Him, convicts of sin, cleanses.   He is MIGHTY and the ONLY ONE to save sinners as well as the ONLY One to comfort a broken heart fully and completely, to bring healing, restoration, peace, hope, deliverance, and give everlasting life.

What a wonderful life to depend on such a wonderful God as the The Warrior STRONG and MIGHTIER than anything, as well as, the compassionate, tenderly loving, caring Shepherd, Savior Who offers Salvation and relationship with Him.

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

Jn 10:11

“The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is His name”

. Ex. 15:3

“Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle”.

Ps. 24:8

The perfection of GOD – STRONG AND MIGHTY – tender and COMPASSIONATE brings the security and provision for a longing thirsty soul.

Will you trust Him today?

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

As we humble ourselves before this Mighty King, rise in His strength, love, power – we stand and sing!

A robe dipped in blood. How aweful an unbeliever would say.
Not only did He create that blood, but He also was willing to shed His creation, that he also shared with us for life in our bodies.
Great writing once again babe. Thank you!
